In a bid to increase awareness about the intentionality required in training the boy-child, the Train the Boys Initiative launched a campaign called Walk for Awareness with the hashtag #WalkForTheBoys.

Walk for Awareness is the first of its kind organized by Train the Boys Initiative. It is an advocacy walk intended to raise awareness about the need for the boy-child deserving of the nurture, care, grooming and equipping as much as the girl-child.

At its first edition of #WalkForTheBoys, on Friday, August 19 2022, volunteers from Train the Boys Initiative assembled at Ikeja, Lagos starting the walk from Shoprite Bus Stop all through the length of the Obafemi Awolowo Way. We carried placards bearing some of the messages we hoped to pass across and also shared brochures with parents and other individuals with specific information meant for boys.
